With 27 rooms, a thriving kitchen garden, a Potting Shed Spa and a serious commitment to the 25-mile menu, it's a hideaway that takes its food every bit as seriously as its surroundings.
The work
- • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the daily running of a busy country-house kitchen, working with kitchen garden produce and local Devon suppliers.
- • Take confident ownership of a section, cooking from scratch using seasonal ingredients and contributing to a menu that changes with the garden.
- • Bring ideas and energy to the menu development process, working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team.
- • Help train and develop commis chefs and kitchen porters, sharing your skills and enthusiasm.
- • Maintain food safety, hygiene and stock management standards throughout your section.
