About the hotel
The Royal Scotsman is Belmond's legendary luxury train — Scotland's most distinguished way to travel, winding through the Highlands, across the Caledonian Canal and into some of the most dramatic scenery in the world. Accommodating up to 36 guests across finely crafted carriages, it offers an intimate, hotel-quality experience on the move — complete with a dedicated culinary team, an Observation Car, and a series of private distillery and castle visits along each route.
The work
- • Provide exceptional food and beverage service to up to 36 guests aboard one of the world's most storied luxury trains
- • Deliver breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea service, alongside pre-meal drinks and canapés in the Observation Car
- • Set tables to the highest standard with linens, silverware and glassware, maintaining an impeccable environment throughout each journey
- • Welcome guests and assist with luggage, acting as a warm and engaged presence throughout each multi-day itinerary
- • Carry out back-of-house duties, mise en place and cleaning responsibilities to maintain the train's immaculate standard between services
