The work

  • Support the Chef de Partie in managing your assigned kitchen section to the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipe specifications with precision and care in every plate
  • Manage your section tasks efficiently during service to maintain smooth kitchen workflow
  • Maintain exemplary cleanliness, food hygiene and organisation throughout every shift
  • Handle correct stock rotation, ingredient labelling and refrigeration standards within your section
  • Actively coach and share knowledge with Commis Chefs, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Demonstrate initiative in supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods
  • Develop your skills with ambition to progress to Chef de Partie level

  • You have experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready for the next step
  • You are passionate about food quality and take genuine pride in your craft
  • You are a collaborative team player who supports those around you with positivity and enthusiasm
  • You have solid core cooking skills and are eager to build on them in a 5-star environment
  • You are reliable, punctual and bring real energy to every service

  • You are content to remain at Commis level and have no desire to progress
  • You struggle with the pace and discipline of a fine dining kitchen environment
  • You are not available for rotating shifts including evenings and weekends
