The work
- • Manage and take ownership of your kitchen section during both events service and à la carte
- • Prepare and present food to required standards within set timeframes, maintaining consistency throughout service
- • Oversee stock management, rotation, and proper storage procedures for your section
- • Support and assist Sous Chefs and the Head Chef during preparation and service
- • Adhere strictly to all food safety, HACCP, and health and safety regulations
- • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of your section at all times
- • Work collaboratively across the kitchen team with a positive and proactive attitude
- • Assist in training and guiding more junior kitchen staff on section as required
This role is for you if…
- • You have previous experience in a comparable Chef de Partie role, ideally in a hotel kitchen
- • You hold or are working towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Food Safety qualification
- • You take pride in consistent, high-quality food production and presentation
- • You are a reliable team player who also has the ability to manage a section independently
- • You are drawn to the idea of working in a well-regarded, independent Scottish hotel
This role might not be for you if…
- • You are not yet comfortable managing a kitchen section without close supervision
- • You prefer a strictly fixed schedule and are not able to work 5 days across a 7-day rota
- • You have limited experience in a high-volume or events-led hotel kitchen environment
- • You are looking for a role without any team training responsibilities
