The work

  • Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring consistently exceptional guest experiences across every department
  • Lead, develop and inspire heads of department to deliver service excellence in line with The Newt's unique ethos
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive commercial performance and operational efficiency
  • Manage budgets, P&L forecasting and KPIs, ensuring the hotel operates profitably while maintaining luxury standards
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and team development throughout the property
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire and licensing regulations across all hotel operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, anticipating needs and resolving issues with discretion
  • Work closely with F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, Spa and Estates teams to deliver seamless integrated operations
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of talented hospitality professionals across the estate
  • Act as a senior operational leader on the floor during key service periods, embodying The Newt's values
