The work

  • Deliver a warm and personal welcome from arrival through departure
  • Manage check-in, check-out and the daily room allocation
  • Handle reservation enquiries, amendments and OTA bookings
  • Run the switchboard, in-house calls and guest requests across shift
  • Manage billing, posting, deposits and end-of-shift reconciliations
  • Liaise closely with Housekeeping on room readiness and VIPs
  • Anticipate guest needs across dining, theatre and West End bookings
  • Manage walk-in enquiries, group arrivals and special set-ups
  • Build genuine repeat-guest relationships across visits
  • Represent Firmdale as a polished, calm front-desk ambassador

This role is for you if…

  • You have hotel reception or guest services experience
  • You are warm, articulate and naturally service-driven
  • You enjoy a smaller, residential townhouse environment
  • You take pride in personal presentation and 5-star standards
  • You are confident with PMS, OTA channels and accuracy under pressure

This role might not be for you if…

  • You prefer back-of-house or purely administrative roles
  • You are not available for early, late and weekend shifts
  • You prefer a high-volume corporate hotel environment
